Rubber mulch lasts long - some for at least 20 years - and can retain its softness. There is the necessary skepticism as to its environmental safety. Because of its nature, rubber does not decay very easily. In fact, it has been estimated that tires will take about 200 years before it can decay. So, using a floor like rubber mulch not only benefits you, but also causes minimum harm to the environment.
